Co-op Education Students

Rationale

Co-operative Education is a term used to describe a course in which students earn credits both in school and out of school. It is a three-way partnership between the student, the school and the employer. Co-operative Education courses provide opportunities for closer association of students with working police officers who are willing to show their knowledge and experience.

The students have an excellent opportunity for career exploration and career decision-making. In Oxford County, the Co-operative Education Program began in September of 1980 and the Police Service continued participation in the program in 1999.
