Woodstock 911 Operators see large increase in abandoned 911 calls

WOODSTOCK, ON (June 01, 2023) – The Woodstock Police Service wishes to remind people to check settings on their phones as the Communications Center have experienced a significant increase in unintentional 911 calls.

WOODSTOCK, ON (May 31, 2023) – On January 26, 2023, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) invoked their mandate and began an investigation of a collision between a stolen vehicle and a police cruiser on January 25, 2023.

WOODSTOCK, ON (May 16, 2023) – On Monday, May 15, 2023 at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Woodstock Police Service arrested a 41-year-old resident of Bright, ON in relation to this investigation. As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with:

Young pedestrians hit by vehicle

WOODSTOCK, ON (May 12, 2023) – On Thursday, May 11, 2023 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 14-year-old and two 13-year-old youth were crossing Dundas Street in the area of Finke Street when a vehicle hit two of the youth. Both received assessments at hospital as a precaution.
