DRUG TRAFFICKING
WOODSTOCK, ON (September 5, 2023) – Police have charged three in a drug trafficking investigation.
On Friday, September 1, 2023, the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit executed two warrants in relation to a drug trafficking investigation, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) and Community Response Unit (CRU).
During the investigation, police seized a taser, a crossbow, an imitation firearm, cocaine, and Canadian currency.
A 47-year-old, a 29-year-old, and a 51-year-old all of Woodstock, ON are facing charges of:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine;
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000; and
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Additionally, the 51-year-old accused is facing a charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
The three accused are scheduled to appear in court in October.
