BREAK AND ENTER THEFT

WOODSTOCK, ON (January 24, 2023) – On Monday, January 23, 2023 at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Woodstock Police Service received a report of a break and enter theft to a compound on Ridgeway Road. Sometime over the weekend unknown suspect(s) reportedly cut through the fence of the compound. Fifteen (15) truck tires were reported missing and had been removed from the rims.

MISCHIEF ARREST

WOODSTOCK, ON (January 24, 2023) – On Monday, January 23, 2023 at approximately 12:35 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of a smashed windshield in a parking lot on Vansittart Avenue near Dundas Street. It was determined that the suspect was also involved in a shoplifting investigation at a business in the area of Dundas Street and Huron Street.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Woodstock was arrested and charged with:

  • Mischief under $5000; and
  • Theft under $5000 – shoplifting.

 

IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

WOODSTOCK, ON (January 24, 2023) – On Saturday, January 21, 2023 at approximately 1:30 a.m. the Woodstock Police Service conducted a routine traffic stop in the area of Highway 2 at the 11th Line.

The investigation found the driver to be impaired. As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old resident of Woodstock, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs; and
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
