WEAPONS INVESTIGATION
WOODSTOCK, ON (September 5, 2023) - The Woodstock Police Service have laid charges in a weapons investigation early Saturday morning.
On Saturday, September 2, 2023 at approximately 12:30 a.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to the area of Mohawk Street and Iroquois Crescent for reports of a male making threats with a handgun.
Police contained the area, located and arrested the suspect with assistance from the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigation Bureau and the London Police Service K9 Unit. During the investigation, police seized a C02 powered pellet gun.

The 28-year-old Woodstock resident is facing charges of:
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order;
- Pointing a Firearm; and
- Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose.
The accused will appear in court on October 10th.
