UPDATE

Woodstock, ON (April 28, 2021) – On Saturday, April 24, 2021 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service, Woodstock Fire Department and Oxford County Paramedic Services responded to the area of Highway 2 for reports of an injured male.

The police investigation revealed that a black Hyundai struck a male while attempting to drive away from a gas station without paying for fuel. The 66-year-old male victim is in hospital with life threatening injuries.

On April 27, 2021 the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau with the assistance of Waterloo Regional Police Service located and arrested, Brandon HARMER (26) of Drumbo, ON. HARMER has been charged with:

  • Fail to Stop at Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm;
  • Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm;
  • Theft Under $5000.

HARMER has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

An occupant of the vehicle, a 22-year-old female of Paris, ON has also been arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000 and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Person & Vehicle to Identify

Woodstock, ON (April 25, 2021) – The Woodstock Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and vehicle. The vehicle was last observed at a gas station on the north side of Highway 2 near John Street at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

The vehicle is described as a black Hyundai SUV. The driver was described as wearing a red plaid jacket with a hood up and green pajama style pants.
