RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE - CHARGES

Woodstock, ON (May 3, 2021) – On Friday April 30, 2021 at approximately 11:55 a.m. the Woodstock Police Service Community Response Unit (CRU) located and recovered stolen licence plates and a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Ingersoll, ON.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old female of Woodstock was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

FORCIBLE ENTRY CHARGE

Woodstock, ON (May 3, 2021) – On Friday, April 30, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to a residence in the area of Main Street for reports of an unknown male sleeping on a couch in the living room of the home.

Upon further investigation, police arrested and charged a 41-year-old male of Woodstock with Forcible Entry.

Police are encouraging members of the public to be diligent for their safety and the safety of their property to completely secure their homes and consider investing in home security systems or CCTV cameras that notify homeowners of activity around their house.

DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE

Woodstock, ON (May 3, 2021) – On Saturday, May 1, 2021 at approximately 4:50 p.m. while on general patrol, a Woodstock Police Service officer observed a male slumped over in the driver seat of a vehicle in a parking lot on Norwich Avenue near Montclair Drive.

Upon further investigation, the male was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, counterfeit Canadian currency and break in instruments. As a result, a 37-year-old male of Norwich, ON was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Possessing Counterfeit Money – have in Custody
  • Possession Break In Instruments
