Woodstock, ON (September 10, 2021) – Each quarter the Woodstock Police Service and Oxford County OPP are partnering for Operation Zero - a two day traffic blitz focusing on various traffic safety concerns. On Wednesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 9, 2021, Operation Zero’s traffic initiative prioritized school zones and community safety.


As a result of this two day blitz, a total of 85 charges were laid in relation to speeding, stunt driving, suspended driver’s licence and an unsafe vehicle was taken off the road. The Woodstock Police Service and Traffic Unit will continue to focus on school zone safety as everyone readjusts to the back to school routine.


Police ask that drivers slow down and drive cautiously around school zones and areas with heavy foot traffic to keep everyone safe during these busy times.
