WEEKEND BRIEFS (JAN 7-9)

SHOPLIFTING

On Friday, January 7, 2022 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of a shoplifter from a Loss Prevention Officer at a store in the area Norwich Avenue and Montclair Drive.

 

As a result, a 31-year-old female was charged with Engaging in a Prohibited Activity under the Trespass to Property Act.

 

WEAPONS

On Saturday, January 8, 2022 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of two males on the Wellington Street South bridge. One of the males was reported to have a knife. Police responded to the area and arrested a 32-year-old male of Woodstock for outstanding warrants.

 

BREAK & ENTER

Sometime overnight on Friday, January 7, 2022 between 8:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. a trailer located at a business on Dundas Street between Clarke Street South and Stafford Street had been entered and a number of items were reported stolen.

SHOPLIFTING

On Saturday, January 8, 2022 at approximately 2:20 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of shoplifting at a store on Dundas Street near Vansittart Avenue. At approximately 2:00 p.m. an unknown male reportedly stole three bottles of perfume then left the area of the store on a bike without paying.

 

The male was described as wearing grey sweatpants, grey hoodie with the letters VA, black New Balance toque and black bandana (see attached image).

ATTEMPTED BREAK & ENTER

The Woodstock Police Service is looking for information in relation to an attempted break and enter. On Saturday, January 8, 2022 sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) attempted to break into the back door of an apartment on Bay Street between Dundas Street and Peel Street.

MISCHIEF

Sometime between 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 and 10:05 a.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022 unknown suspect(s) smashed out the back window of a grey 2012 Dodge Journey parked in a housing complex on Ontario Street. Drills, amps and subwoofers were reported stolen.
