STOLEN VEHICLES AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER

 Woodstock, ON (January 8, 2021) – The Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of multiple vehicle thefts and vehicle part thefts this week.

 

STOLEN CATALYTIC CONVERTER

The Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of a stolen catalytic converter from the area of Parkinson Road near Pavey Street. The part was taken sometime between 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 and 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

 

STOLEN VEHICLE

On Thursday, January 7, 2021 the Woodstock Police Service responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly taken from the area of Champlain Avenue sometime between January 6, 2021 at 11:00 p.m. and January 7, 2021 at 12:30 a.m. The vehicle was described as a black 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt with tinted windows, white lettering on the rear window and blacked out rims.

 

VEHICLE WARM-UP THEFT

Yesterday, Woodstock Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle stolen within two minutes of the owner starting the vehicle to warm it up.

On Thursday, January 7, 2021 at approximately 5:20 p.m. a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was reported as stolen from the area of Adelaide Street and Kent Street. The white truck is described to have loud pipes, a large green toolbox on the back, tinted windows, and black rims. The suspect was described as a slender male, wearing grey sweatpants, grey sweater with the hood up and dark coloured jacket.

The Woodstock Police Service would like to remind the public to never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running and to remove belongings from the vehicle when not is use.
