STUNT DRIVING
WOODSTOCK, ON (April 5, 2024) – An 18-year-old is facing a stunt driving charge for erratic driving in a school zone around dismissal time.
On Thursday, April 4, 2024 at approximately 2:35 p.m., members of Woodstock Police Service Community Response Unit were in the area of Cromwell Street and observed a very loud black Ford Mustang aggressively fish tailing out of a parking lot following school dismissal. The vehicle then pulled up next to another black Ford Mustang and appeared to be preparing to race.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and as a result, the 18-year-old driver of Brampton, ON, is facing a 30-day licence suspension, 14-day vehicle impound, and charges of drive motor vehicle - perform stunt and no muffler.
Police would like to remind all drivers that aggressive and erratic driving is dangerous, particularly in and around school zones and other areas with high road and pedestrian traffic. Please slow down and drive cautiously to keep yourself and those around you safe.
