
The Woodstock Police Service is accepting applications from internal and external applicants for the following position:
Property Management Assistant - Clerical (Part-time)

The Woodstock Police Service is a municipal policing agency comprised of approximately 100 Officers and 50 Civilians who are dedicated to servicing the city of Woodstock, Ontario. Woodstock is a rapidly growing community situated along the highway 401 & 403 corridors between London and Toronto. Position:
This position requires good interpersonal and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational abilities. The role of the Property Management Assistant is to assist in the maintenance, storage and release of all found or seized property as it relates to a variety of police occurrences. Previous experience working in a police or legal environment would be considered an asset in addition to knowledge of Niche RMS.
Wages and Benefits:
The position is classified part time and will include a schedule of 24-28 hours per week, however the hours of work may vary as determined by the needs of the Service. The rate of pay will be in keeping with the current Civilian Collective Agreement, ranging from $32.30 - $38.50 per hour.
Part-time members receive pay in lieu of benefits along with vacation pay and are offered the opportunity to enroll into a well-established pension plan upon hire.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- College Diploma in Office Administration would be an asset
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience that would include a demonstrated ability to maintain organizational procedures and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of court proceedings
- Basic knowledge of NICHE / Records Management System (RMS) would be an asset
- Proficient data entry and keyboarding skills with a minimum 40 wpm
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and multi-task
- Must be flexible in altering hours to meet the needs of the organization
Successful Applicants:
