Public Complaints

cup

The Woodstock Police Service is dedicated to maintaining public trust, professionalism, and accountability. We recognize that the complaints process is an essential tool for addressing concerns, rectifying any misconduct, and improving the quality of our services.

If you have any questions or concerns about the conduct of our officers, we encourage you to first speak with a supervisor at the Woodstock Police Service. A supervisor may be able to resolve your issue satisfactorily before you proceed to the formal complaints process.

Your feedback is important to us, and we are committed to ensuring that your concerns are handled with fairness and transparency.

For complaints regarding police officer misconduct, please contact the Law Enforcement Complaints Agency (LECA):

Email: LECAcomplaints@ontario.ca

Phone: 416-246-7071 or 1-877-411-4773

For complaints regarding the following, please contact the Inspectorate of Policing (IoP):

  • Inadequate and ineffective policing in the City of Woodstock;
  • A failure by the Woodstock Police Service Board (the "Board"), the Chief of Police, or the Woodstock Police Service to comply with the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 or its regulations, excluding instances of misconduct, such as systemic failures or other breaches;
  • Misconduct by a member of the Board; or
