The CORE Beat Team consists of two officers supervised by the CRU Sergeant. The team focuses on proactive patrols in the downtown area, usually on foot or bicycle. The patrol zone includes Dundas St from Vansittart Ave to Huron/Wilson St. They also patrol side streets, alleys and everything between Peel St, Simcoe St, Adelaide St and Hunter St.
This team builds relationships with businesses, service agencies and the Business Improvement Area (BIA). This is to help ensure staff, and patrons feel safe in the downtown area.
